Quantum Wellness Quotes

The section on Visualization on page 24 is great. I don't want to retype it all though, but if you ever buy the book, take a look.

"Visualization helps us clarify what we want and gives us the map to get there. If, for instance, you want to eat healthier but see yourself as someone who could never have the discipline to stick to a good plan, you can replace that picture with one of someone who loves and craves healthy food. Imagine feeling robust and energetic. See yourself eating well and enjoying it."

"The crazy thing is, the brain literally does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. You've probably heard of the experiment in which a person pictures biting into a lemon, and even though there is no such lemon, the person puckers his lips. The brain triggered a real and physical response simply from a conjured image. Material reality started from a thought - an idea that was nuanced and enhanced by conscious imagination - and then a real physical response manifested. Try it!"

"For instance, if you have always (consciously or unconsciously) held to the image that relationships are difficult and disappointing, it is likely that you will draw to yourself difficult and disappointing relationships. But if you practice visualizing a relationship that is easy and joyful, you are far more likely to attract a partner who can make that kind of relationship with you."

All of page 28 is awesome, but again, I don't want to retype it all.

"When you are always looking for results (why don't I have clearer skin yet? Why hasn't the irritation gone away yet?), you are sending out pushy and needy energy. My message is this: do your work, and then let go. Relax and assume the right things will come to pass."

"In whatever you do for fun, see the simple blessing in being able to be so happy...Planning a fun activity gives you something to look forward to and then a precious memory to fondly look back on."

"Think of how a tree weathers a storm; it bends with the wind without breaking."

"Anxiety and depression are eased because working out stimulates the production of endorphins, which produce the feeling of well-being. Endorphins also combat the effects of cortisol, the stress hormone that wreaks havoc on the body. These neurotransmitters also provide natural pain relief and help you to feel at ease. Adrenaline, serotonin, and dopamine are other brain chemicals whose levels are raised by intense strength training or prolonged aerobic exercise; each contributes to feelings of energy, clarity and alertness."

"That what we do to one person or being, we do to ourselves; that all of life is an expression of Spirit; and that at our truest, we are innocent and perfect."

"When you reach out and help someone, you feel your sense of purpose and mission kick in....Once I dive in to some sort of giving back, I feel useful and grateful that I have something to give...The blessings I already have in my life become more clear to me, and I stop itching for something that I can never seem to attain."

There's an encouraging story on page 42, I suggest you read it.

"Have you ever wanted something really badly and once you finally owned it or achieved it, you felt let down? It's not only that the getting of something is anticlimactic but also that material things do not hold true value. Being someone's boss or superior is not what the soul craves either. These "wins" appeal to our ego, but not to our Self...The ego is like a tapeworm that lives inside you it always craves more and is never satisfied...When it's you against the world instead of you at one with the world, things can look pretty daunting. No wonder we feel so anxious! Your joy comes form giving things away rather than hoarding them."

"Remember, we see in the world projections of what is inside us."

"Giving of ourselves makes us feel better in our bodies, too. We feel a rush of euphoria, which is then followed by a sense of calm and fulfillment. This rush is accompanied by a release of endorphins, which provide a sense of emotional well-being. Dr. Wayne Dyer, in his book The Power of Intention, points to research that says 'a simple act of kindness directed toward another improves the functioning of the immune system and stimulates the production of serotonin in both the recipient of the kindness and the person extending the kindness. Even more amazing is that the persons observing the act of kindness have similar beneficial results.' So everyone involved, the giver, the receiver and the observer are engaged in positive ways when kindness is extended...When we demonstrate love or compassion or concern, we are walking in the footsteps of spiritual giants; we are fulfilling our highest potential as human beings."

  1. These are all great quotes. I really believe we can think ourselves into being something.

  2. LOVED ALL OF THESE! I totally agree.... I believe so much of everything is our attitude. WE decide if we are happy or not in life, no matter what happens to us.
